Teams require a yearlong commitment with training goals established at the beginning of each season. Movement up in the team levels is determined by the coaching staff, but generally follows USA Diving’s championship format – Our Pre-Team divers typically qualify for the Regional and Zone level meets, Team members qualify for National preliminaries, and Our Elite Team trains are Junior National Semi-finalists and finalists.
All team members receive dry-land training in our belt systems over the dry-board or trampoline, water training on 1-meter and 3-meter springboards and platforms, and a structured conditioning program with our strength and conditioning coach.
Team participation is by invitation only. Those with advanced relevant experience may apply for team membership.
The 13-Under and 14-Older groups each comprise divers who are: recently promoted from Pre-Team; new to the sport with significant related experience; or experienced divers looking for a lesser time commitment. Our Team practices 3 hours, five times per week, perfecting introductory somersaulting and twisting skills and preparing advanced skills on 1-meter and 3-meter springboards, and Platform, that are appropriate for their competitive age and according to FINA requirements.
